Fitness tip of the Month

Keeping the weight off during the holiday season.

Fill your plate ½ way at dinner parties and do not go for seconds.

Allow yourself to have one appetizer before dinner or stick with the vegetable/fruit platter without the dressing dip to curb your pre-meal appetite.

Drink a Glass of water after every alcoholic beverage.

Make sure you exercise for 30 minutes first thing the next morning.

Heidi Manago BS Exercise Physiology, ACSM
Heidi earned her bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology from The University Of Massachusetts in 1994. Upon graduation she was selected by FitCorp of Boston MA as one of four candidates from a pool of 400 candidates for their intensive corporate fitness internship program.

Shortly after being highered by Fitcorp Heidi was offered and accepted the position of Retentionl Manager at Fitness Etcetera for women in Natick MA . She  became General Manager and after two years her personal life took her to Columbus GA.

In 1996 Heidi  started Partners in Training personal training company servicing Green Island Hills Country Club. While in Columbus she provided continuing education to trainers in area health clubs and was a freelance fitness writer and consultant for the local media. Upon leaving Columbus in 1998 for Boston she started ProActive Fitness® Inc. and is a co-owner of the company.

Heidi has advanced training in Post Rehab conditioning  and is certified in teaching Step,  Zumba, Tae-Boxing and authenticated a class in Boot Camp training. Heidi has provided continuing education to the trainers of ProActive Fitness® Inc. and continues to play a critical role in strategic planning for the business.
